Tallulah Lived Here!

Legendary actress Tallulah Bankhead was born in this building, in a second floor apartment, in 1903. The building was not known as the Schiffman Bldg. until after it was sold to the Schiffman's in 1905. She went on to become an International star of stage, screen, and later television. Tallulah died in 1968 having lived a colorful life! The photo was taken 15 October 2006. I ran across it recently while backing up and archiving my catalog of photographs. |
